Honda Civic service tip
Tire pressure on Honda Civic
Find a safe starting point before checking the door placard. Match the display controls in your car, then follow the steps in order.
| Model range | 2006-2026 |
|---|---|
| Common control path | 32-35 psi |
| Before reset | Use the door placard as the final value for your exact tire size and trim. Treat quick-reference numbers as starting points before checking the vehicle label. |
Steps
Check tires when they are cold, before long driving or heavy sun exposure.
Open the driver door and read the tire information placard on the door jamb.
Set front and rear tires to the placard value, not the number molded into the tire sidewall.
Replace the valve cap and inspect for visible nails, cracks, or sidewall damage.
Drive normally for a few minutes and watch whether the tire pressure light returns.
If pressure drops again, inspect the tire for a leak before adding more air repeatedly.

If it does not work
| Problem | Check |
|---|---|
| Menu is missing | Try the other display path for your year: dashboard button, steering-wheel menu, or touchscreen vehicle settings. |
| Light returns | Recheck the service or tire pressure first. A returning light usually means the underlying condition is still present. |
| Wrong trim | Use the owner manual if your trim has a different display, wheel controls, or tire package. |
Common questions
Should front and rear tires use the same pressure?
Many Honda trims use similar front and rear pressure, but the door placard is the final source for your car.
Should I use the tire sidewall pressure?
No. The sidewall usually shows maximum tire pressure, not the recommended vehicle setting.
Why did the pressure light come on after weather changed?
Cold air lowers tire pressure. Recheck all tires cold and set them to the placard value.
